BFFs

"Hi Ziggy!"
Charlotte's babysitter, Tana, completed her studies in naturopathic medicine and was ready to start seeing patients.  We're thrilled for Tana, but it's very sad for Charlotte.  She LOVED going to Tana's.  In the morning, when we got her coat out to get ready to leave, she would start scooting toward the door saying, "hi Ziggy!  Hi Ziggy!"  Ziggy, Tana's daughter, is Charlotte's first friend.  They would shriek when they saw each other everyday.  Ziggy is a few months older than Charlotte and has been walking for quite some time, but Charlotte keeps up with her by butt scooting right behind her.  It's hilarious.  They are so cute together.

BFFs!

Charlotte started a new daycare right before we went on vacation.  Our new daycare is closer to our house and costs less.  She has a sweet new setup - it's in a home with a finished basement with two play areas and a ball pit!  Right now, there is only one other kid, a baby boy named Charlie. I think Charlotte might be lonely there with nobody to squeal at or scoot after.  But, I'm sure Charlie will be walking around soon and when Charlotte finally starts walking and they can run around together.   Charlotte isn't as excited about going to her new daycare, but eventually she'll love it there.  I guess now, we'll have to schedule some playdates with Ziggy and Tana.

Spring Break!

For spring break, we drove from Minneapolis to San Antonio to visit Mike's family.  It's 20 hours of driving and we spread it out with 2 overnight stops.  The drive was actually pretty fun.  We stopped at children's museums, parks, and restaurants that have been featured on Diners, Drive ins, and Dives.  We really enjoyed the Wonderscope Children's Museum in Shawnee, Kansas  and the Ernie Miller Nature Park in Olathe, Kansas.   Charlotte, who normally goes to sleep without a peep, was totally out of sorts in the hotels.  We had a great time in San Antonio, where we got to eat at couple other restaurants featured on Diners, Drive ins, and Dives.  We spent a lot of time just hanging out outside or playing games at Suze's.   Spring in San Antonio is like summer in Minnesota - perfect weather.  All in all, it was a great trip.  We will definitely do the road trip again!  Here is a slideshow of some of the highlights of our trip:
