Charlotte's First Science Book

Yesterday we went to Big Brain Comics for a book signing. Our friends Zander Cannon and Kevin Cannon (no relation) have illustrated a new book about Evolution in graphic novel form. The target audience is junior high, but Charlotte is very advanced.

Charlotte Says Goodbye to Suze
Actually she is upset about something else in this picture, but it sums up the feeling in our house quite well. Today Suze left to go back to San Antonio and we are all sad. It was wonderful having her here for 4 weeks. I hope she had as much fun as we did! Charlotte was all smiles when Suze was around. They had lots of fun while we were at work - laughing, playing, and one time rolling over.

4 Months
Today Charlotte had her 4 month well baby visit. She weighed 12 pounds, 12 ounces and was 23 1/4 inches long. For some reason, she looks bigger to me and to Suze. She was asleep when we got there so I had to wake her up to take off her clothes for the weighing and she was MAD! Since she was already so worked up, the shots weren't that big a deal relatively speaking. I nursed her for a while and she calmed down enough for the exam. She is perfectly healthy in everyway - eyes, ears, heart, lungs, growth.
